Fall in Love with Nature at High Hampton Inn

August 5th, 2016 by Staff

With the end of summer approaching, Mother Nature will begin to paint the world with a whole new palette of colors. The bright green of the leaves will fade to the warm colors of fall, the summer heat will be replaced with a cool, autumn breeze, and new types of flowers will emerge. There is no better environment to experience these changes than at High Hampton Inn. With surrounding mountains, a private lake and a variety of foliage, the 1400 acres of private grounds make for the quintessential destination to embrace the tranquility of nature.

See the fall foliage firsthand while hiking the mountain trails that span across the property. Also, for those who love sports but shy away from playing in the summer heat, the beginning of fall is a great time to take advantage of the tennis courts, golf courses and other activities on the property.

As a celebration of the changing of seasons and the natural wonders it brings, High Hampton Inn is hosting its annual Dinner at the Dahlias events on August 29 and September 12. The dinner was recently featured in Garden & Gun‘s Southern Agenda! Guests will drink and dine at the long, white-clothed tables while completely surrounded by the private, 2-acre-long dahlia garden. The garden will be in full bloom at the closing of summer, with flowers up to five feet tall, making the event the perfect time to experience the beauty of this unique flower and learn about its history.

As with past years, a multi-course meal with only the freshest ingredients will be served throughout the evening. When the dinner comes to an end, the sunset on the mountainside along with the cool evening breeze will create the perfect backdrop for this fairytale evening. Guests can fall asleep to the sounds of leaves brushing against the Inn as the sunsets on one of the last days of summer.
